Short answer

In the USA, NFL games are shared between CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN/ABC and Prime Video, with some games on Netflix and NFL Network; out-of-market Sunday games are in NFL Sunday Ticket. In Canada, CTV, TSN and RDS (in French) air the national games, and NFL Game Pass on DAZN covers the full schedule. Rights change every season: always check the listings for your game.

Best setup for football in 4K

  • A recent streaming device: Fire TV Stick 4K Max or Google TV Streamer give smooth motion and the latest apps (see our comparison).
  • A stable connection: about 25 Mbps per 4K screen, ideally Ethernet (see Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
  • TV picture mode: choose a “Sports” or “Standard” mode, and lower motion smoothing if players look unnatural.
  • Game day: pause big downloads on your network and restart the device before kickoff.

Before every game

Broadcast rights, blackouts and game times change during the season. Check the official NFL schedule and your provider’s listings for your exact game and region.
